RIP Phil Vane of Extreme Noise Terror

There's rumors floating around the internet and forums that Phil Vane one of the vocalists for legendary crust/grind band Extreme Noise Terror (and one time vocalist for Napalm Death) was found dead last night. I hope this isn't true but I've been seeing it posted by a bunch of musicians and people close to Phil. RIP.

*Update from Brooklyn Vegan on 2/23/2011 afternoon:
"Phil Vane, vocalist of the highly influential grind/crust band Extreme Noise Terror has passed away. Rumors started to fly yesterday in response to a Mick Harris (Napalm Death, Doom and Extreme Noise Terror) facebook post, the band has since confirmed his passing with the following statement:

"The rumors are true. We're sorry to announce that Phil passed away recently. The band will make a full statement soon but for now we need to take the time to come to terms with this terrible loss."

Extreme Noise Terror, which was born 25 years ago in England, is one of the most influential (and one of the first) grindcore bands of all time. Extreme Noise Terror recently released a split EP with Japanese hardcore killers Slang for Farewell Records. Get a copy. Phil Vane R.I.P."
